Using our Tone of Voice for Subliminal Persuasion

We talk away merrily every day unaware of how we speak, as distinct from what we say, can have a marked effect on the people we are talking to.

If you have ever been in a conversation with someone that has poor tonality (like really nasal tomes) you might reflect on how much you were into the conversation.
Perhaps you can also recall a conversation with someone who was hesitant when they spoke and spoke with the volume of a church mouse, how convincing could they be.

Emphasising certain words when you speak can make a vast difference in the meaning of what you say.
A comical example of this was often used by the comedian Benny Hill, “What this thing called love”
